I am starting to research hi-definition tvs in the thousand dollar range and would appriciate any opinions on the subject. I am finally ready to put to rest my 16 year old 27" Sony which refuses to die, however it has been on life support for a few years now. The tuner section has been out for years but I have been using the turner section in whatever VCR I am using at the time. The on/off switch in not working and have been using the cable box to turn in on/off. Needless to say the remote has given up the ghost many years ago and the volume control does not work but I put the sound thru my stereo anyway. HOWEVER, the picture is still pretty good.
But I digress. Am not considering,at this time, flat-screen because of cost. Would also like opinion if I should go with a wide-screen box.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!!
