I need to videotape my son playing the drums for school. But in order to get good sound quality, I'm running only the video from the camera, and the audio is coming from the mixer that I normally use to record drums onto cassete tape.My problem is that, while the sound quality is good, the volume recorded onto the videotape is too low. And it is this way on both of my VCRs, and regardless of the signal strength from the mixer. I've tried tried everything I can think of -- different wires, etc. -- but nothing makes any difference.
Do you think that maybe it's because my RCA (two) output from the mixer is stereo, and the input into the VCR is mono? I'm using a two-into-one to make the connection.
