Within the Menu of the DVD player, you should be able to choose whether or the DTS feature is "on" or "off". I have a DV414, which I believe is essetially the same as far as this interface goes. Also, make sure that the digital input that you selected within the receiver is on. I ran into the same trouble and after a call to Pioneer (at 1-800-421-1404) it was fixed. If you choose to call, try to do it at a time that you are in front of the reveiver (vs from work) as it is easier for them to talk you through the process at that time.
