I am told the Philips Q50 can be formatted to handle any zone from its remote. This bargain player appears to be evolving as a very desirable high end unit. There have been a few bugs with it but they seem to be getting ironed out now.However most players can be rejigged to play multi regions, making the whole exercise one of futility! Do a net search (Google) on this issue if there is another particular player that interests you.
Note that Europe uses PAL so you need to look at a dual system player. Most of them are although maybe not all sold in the States.
