I was told by a dealer this weekend that some DVD players have a "progressive scan output" that can feed a Digital TV the additional signals to fill in between the lines 1,3,5 etc. that normal DVD has (500 line resolution).
Is this correct? It sounds like some DVD players provide 1000 line resolution. Huh?
What she was saying was that this was better than "line-doubling" which I have seen on some DTV sets.
