The folks that made the DVD-Audio made the mistake of using the same encryption algorithm that they used for DVD-Video. The same algorithm
that someone posted on the internet. So, the manufacturers and record
companies, ever paranoid about copy protection, are having to rethink their encryption scheme.I have heard that Pioneer will be releasing this player in the near future (by the end of May) and that it will be upgradable to the new DVD-Audio spec when it's available.
