Three Qs: Sony receiver and Pioneer DVD player

First, has anyone compared the new Pioneer DVD333 to the 525 it replaced?
Second, has anyone compared the Pioneer 525 (or 333) to the Sony DVP-S560D?
Third, has anyone compared the Sony STR-DA333ES receiver ($800) to the Sony STR-DB930 ($600) receiver? The lower priced Sony has more power, but fewer digital inputs and S-video inputs. Should I be concerned about the number of inputs? How is build quality? I guess what I'm getting at is woud I be missing something signifcant if I opt to save the $200?
I am looking at Gallo Micros or Polk RM6600 speakers (I need very small for space considerations).
