Need a good projector for HDtv and DVd 16:9 ratio, suggestions. What about DLP ones?

Finally purchase all of the audio eqiupment for my hometheater. Was thinking of a rear projection tv but the idea of a 250 pound set seems crazy so considering a projector. Do not know much about them though and would appreciate any help as to recommendations and sources for information. I am looking for one that will ultimately do hdtv. Must be capable of 16:9 ratio. How is the picture quality of the new Digital light processing projectors?
