The 40" Toshiba is an outstanding set. It has a better picture than most RPTV, simply because its screen size is so small. I've heard of people getting this set for as low as $2000 which makes it an even better deal. Nevertheless, even at $2400 it's a bargain. Make sure to allow another $500 or so for a Toshiba progressive scan DVD player. It really makes a difference with non-anamorphic DVDs. Good luck!
