Mits HDTV Receiver, is now the time to buy?

Hello!
I have a Mits ws73903. Someone is selling the ground based receiver for $350. They paid $500 for it recently. Would it be a mistake to pick this up when the satellite/hdtv receiver is coming out?
Any help is appreciated.
