it's quite the TV, but in October there is a flat screen/image version coming out, same specs I guess besides that. if you check out www.loewetv.com, it'll give you info on the Planus, but not the new one coming out. based on the sale price, and the fact that the planus stickers for 3k, i figure (guess) that the new flat screen will be more than that, but who knows, the dealer didn't know either. my dv-09 was on sale price (discontinuation) for 1500, that's why I didn't go progressive on that, but I gather all that needs to be progressive is the TV, but I could be wrong, besides, it's hard to beat what's reputed to be (for now) the best DVD player on the planet (good enough for me)...later...
