Which digital RPTVs to look at for $3,000?....

I'm trying to find a good digital RPTV for my parents, and I don't know where to start. I've looked at a few Panasonic and Toshiba models.
Basically, I'm looking for around 61", 4:3 ratio, digital RPTV with internal line-doubling. Can this be found for around $3,000 street price? If not, what features do I have to give up to make the $3,000 price point without going down in screen size?
