I just got the RXV 800 last weekend, It is a great receiver, check the inputs/outputs on the RXV995 before buying it. I think the RXV800 has better/more digtal hookups, which will be important in the future. I traded in a RXV793 and the RXV800 was only $500 + tax (calif). Also the RXV 800 has the TOP-ART technology which was previously only available on Yamaha's real high end stuff. I say get the NEWest model as it will have the most advanced features. Let us know which you end up with...
