At its price point, US$1995, it was an exceptional product sonically.
It was quirky operationally, which is a polite way of saying the User Interface sucked.

I had only two real issues with it:
1) If you left the GTX-1 on an input sending in DTS, and paused, or ended the material, in about 25-30 minutes the pre/pro would lock up so that only a hard power cycle would free it up.

2) Even if a speaker was defined as large, Bass below the crossover frequency was routed to the subwoofer output, which could make some music a bit heavy for bass reproduction.

That's it. That's the sum total of its problems. I owned mine for about a year and a half, and just sold it to upgrade to a pre/pro with analog bypass.
