Re: Letterbox vs. Pan Scan?

The Pan&Scan will work only if DVD Disc that you watch is made for this. It has nothing to do with your TV or connections. A disc that you watch must have this option allowed. I forgot the simbol that should be on the disc that has this allowed.
They said, when they introduce DVD, that we shall still be able to watch movies in 4:3 format, with a Pan&Scan option, and they are about to be the same as when you watch a VHS tape. I still didn't see any Disc that support this feature (16:9 and 4:3 together). It's just another lie and trick. I still rent a movies on VHS if I see a "widescreen" on DVD.
We should just stop renting a movies for a month, and cancel our cable and satellite TV. After a month they would beg as to go back and they would say, "please just tell us what format you want and what movie you want to see" They would make all of it for us. And actres wouldn't make $2000000 in one hour. An acter should be payed $10-15 an hour like avery one else who does "nothing". Then you would watch what you want and in any format you want.
