I originally had a JVC DVD player.... then i got the SONY DVP-S7700 and let me tell you the difference is nothing less than remarkable. Not only is the build quality substantially better than the JVC but the AUDIO/Video cannot even be compared!
At least comapring these 2 beasts, i would say that the 'reference' DVP-S7700 is definetly worth the money
