My First "Tweaking" Experience

216.94.92.229

OK, so it was not really a tweak per say, but I did have the TV apart :-)

I have a TW40X81 and last night I decided to take the set apart and clean the mirror and CRT lenses. MAN what a difference.

I now want to add the duvatone (can't remember the product name) But I have a few concerns:

The inside of my cabinet is plastic, how do I attach the felt? and will it make that much of a difference?

I am also going to build the CRT hood.

I have only had the set for about a month and a half so I a total neophyte to all this.

The followig is a list of what I plan to do:

1. Line the inside of the cabinet with black felt
2. Build the CRT hood
3. Do a proper 64pt. convergence: measure so each square is perfect.
4. Disconnect SVM (tonight I hope)
5. Get the set ISF calibrated.
6. Make some popcorn and enjoy :-)

Any other ideas or tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Andrew McFarland
