Re: B&W LM1

I have a similar dilema and have opted for the B&W 302. The 302's are being discontinued and replaced with the more expensive 303. Thet are currently still available though. The 302's are about the same size as the LM 1, but are less expensive. I got mine at a B&W dealer for $219, vs. $350 for the LM1. The other upside is the sound. They offer a fuller, more well rounded sound. 302's were a C category recommended component from Stereophile while the LM 1's were a D category. Both respectable, but for less money you can get the higher rated speaker. The downside is the lack of mountability of the 302's. I am simply installing a shelf mounted to the wall on strong L brackets and supporting the speaker on the shelf with spikes. This will secure and isolate the speaker better than the direct to wall mount that the LM 1 offers, but is not as convienent.
