The internal DAC on my T751 is very good. I would say it would rival the DACs in most CD players under $1000. But the nice thing about the T751 is that it allows true analog bypass, so you can try your CD or DVD player through both analog and digital connections and see how the NAD DAC compares. I don't believe the T760 allows analog bypass in stereo mode.I've used NAD gear in one system or another since 1980. IMO if you buy a T751 or T761 for combined music and HT, you'll never regret it.
