Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, the room is rather large and there is at least 10 feet behind the seating area (in addition to the corner firing setup). I know my wife will not go for speakers on stands between the rear wall and sitting area. I think my best bet will be to have the surrounds facing each other on the diagonal but hitting the main "sweet spot" (3 feet above sitting level of course). Are you sure this won't be adequate (not a top $$$ system) given this is my first introduction to home theater? Again, thanks for the input!
