In Reply to: Is component video (3 different connectors) better than S-video? posted by Les on March 26, 2001 at 15:36:38:
Heres are some things for newbie to think about. An ISF tech is well worth the spending money. They have unique tools such as color temperature guages that can ccurately configure your televsiion for the exact color that it was meant to produce. Not the high saturation and blaringly bright factory settings of that beautiful sony.An s-video cable only seperates the color signal into two channels. The Component video cables have seperated this into three seperate channels leaving less feedback and bleed within the colors. It is easily viewable with a television taht has the capability of your Sony. Not all differences will be in just the picture but also the scrolling rate and other hard to indentify properties.
There is no other way to go than the component video hookup, just make sure you spend the quality money on the quality cable as your weakest link will denote how good your system is!!!
