You need to buy the appropriate cable (vga to component) to use that DVDO with your 480P TV.

The Toshiba Theater Wides do. Not sure about the others since I've never owned them.

Personally, I'd go with the largest projection set I could afford. They provide a more impactful picture than direct view and they'll have more resolution on HDTV, if and when, that ever happens.
