I've been a Laserdisc fan for a long time, and watch mostly music discs: rock concerts and opera. I'm using a Mitsubishi 35" direct view. 1. Is there any downside to using the DVD player on top of the TV, at least temporarily? 2. What should I expect in terms of sound quality feeding the DVD player into a high end Dolby surround sound system circa 1990?
