Pioneer DV-09, DV-37, what transport is in these... PD-71?

My findings thus far on comparing a decent stand-alone two channel cd player to a Pioneer DV-37 with MSB gear in line, is that the DVD plater and MSB dac is considerably better. ( BTW, I'm talking musucally here ). I know of only 1 name of transport used by Pioneer in the EAD CD-2000 Ultra disc, that being the "stable-platter PD-71"...Can anyone tell me if there would be a "better" even "more stable" transport currently utilized in ANY DVD player today with a reasonable cost?.
thanks, Audioman
