I find the attitude of some "audiophiles" very snobbish about video & HT and imply that those who are interested in video are prepared to accept inferior audio. Certainyl not so for this nutter!

I already own a Meridian 861 processor and it has performer miracles on 16 bit sound for CDs, LDs & DVDs. So, I am contemplating depriving my offspring of some (more) inheritance by investing later in the year in a Meridian 800 DVD/DVD-A player. This is about to hit the markets and will be one of the first players to use an outboard processor for DVD-A. One irritation is that my current 861 processor is likely to need a major upgrade to accommodate this -> even less to be left to the kids, but who says they need it anyhow!!!
