What is the best available progressive scan DVD player now available regardless of price? What improvements can we expect to see next year in this area? I mean everyone raves about the performance of the Sony 9000 ES and yet it is about to be replaced with a new model offering five channel SACD and possibley improved progressive scan. I am not an expert in electronics. But, I am curious what are the limits of the progressive scan format. Are we talking about improved chips, power supplies and better quality electronic parts or are we looking at some type of significant discovery that will allow us to state that this is now the best progressive scan available? Also, aren't ther limits to improving the format? Are we looking at another Beta vs VHS in the wings? I desperately want to purchase but need some advice. Thanks.
