I reworked my Sony vcr when I saw that the TV tuner had far less noise. I added large value filter caps to the voltages going into the tuner section. These were plun/minus 5, and 9 and 30 volts. Now the TV tuner sucked! So, I had to do the same to it. What I have is a VCR that records and plays back great and the best looking big screen I have ever seen (hdtv excluded.) There was limited room in the VCR or I might have done more. bobwire
