Can I get surround sound from Pioneer PD F19 301 disc chnger (specs below)actually are CDs recorded to deliver surround sound? (assuming I have a dts/dd receiver - Pioneer VSX 26TX) And if so, will the Pioneer Elite PD F19 deliver this surround sound or does it only work from DVD. The CD changer says that it is digital but nothing about dolby or dts.
I just listened to the DVD spectacular 1812 Overture and it was really so much better on surround and was wondering whether a) I could get surround CDs and b)if it was available, would i be able to hear it in full surround with my CD player too or only from my DVD which is a dts/dd machine.) Thanks for any constructive feedback.
Pioneer Elite PD F19 CD changer specs are here and printed below since I am not so familiar with reading them.http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/elite/pd-f19.htm

Pioneer is a major innovator in CD performance technology with the development of Hi-bit Conversion and Legato Link Conversion – two distinct processes that work together to enhance the purity of a CD’s original recording.Hi-bit Conversion actually improves the resolution of a CDs sound by expanding its digital information from 16-bits to 24-bits. This unique process enhances sound resolution by widening its dynamic range and minimizing distortion.
Legato Link Conversion works to improve the sound by improving the bandwidth from 20 kHz (standard for the CD format) to 40 kHz. Sounds above 20kHz – what some believe is inaudible to the human ear – are removed in the CD’s digitizing process. Elite engineers found that this 20kHz limit actually created inaccurate reproductions of the original music. Legato Link "links" digital music samples together every 20.8 microseconds, effectively repairing the soundwave and preserving the true nature of sound. This conversion can actually restore the original integrity of the recording. To convert digital information back to analog sound waves, the PD-F17 use a 20-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter and the PD-F19 uses an even more precise 24-bit Digital-to-Analog Converter, for exceptional high frequency response without re-quantization noise.
