Re: Opinions on the Legacy Silver Screen center speakers

207.8.1.21

I have the Legacy Silver Screen center channel speaker along with
a pair of Legacy Illusion (discontinued model that was similar to
the Focus, but priced between Whisper and Focus with imaging closer
to Whisper and powerful bass similar to Focus). The Illusion share
identical midrange and tweeter's with the Silver Screen which provides
a seemless soundstage for DD and DTS especially as sounds move from
side-to-side.

I have no doubt that the SilverScreen would be a good match to Classic,
Sig. III, and Focus front speakers as well, but I doubt it would be a
good fit for non-Legacy front speakers. I say this based on experience
in trying to match a center speaker to some older Polk Audio stereo
speakers (the chief problem being that Polk had changed tweeter designs).
