I'm looking at a Denon DVD 5900, but got to thinking that I don't need on-board audio processing. I was considering having Underwood work their magic on the 5900, but it occurred to me that most of that $ is to the audio "out" signal path, which I won't really be using. In my system the audio signal will go, digitally, direct to a Lexicon processor, which will do the audio heavy lifting. And from there it'll go to the respective amplifiers.
So, why pay for all that THX/5.1/DTS capability in my front end?
What is a very strong-excellent progressive scan DVD player w/ little to no onboard audio processing?
Thanks.
