suggestions for a 32-36" analog tv under $1k

Never posted here before but I've been looking at archives and the Toshiba (with invar shadow mask tube) sets seem to be popular as well as the Sony Wega's.
Any other's I should take a look at? I have cable (no HD available) right now, but considering direct TV. Will mainly be used by me for DVD's, but my son will also be using his X-box with it.
