Run the cable's DVI connection to the switcher and run the DVD player (via an HDMI-to-DVI cable) to the switcher. Run the switcher to the display.Gefen, Pacific Cable, Digital Connection, etc sell 2- and 4-input DVI switchers. The 2-input switchers run from $200 - $250.
