I am new to home theater but plan to build my second system as a combo audio & HT. I plan to connect a lcd/plasma and HD cable box with an integrated amp (two channel only with home theater processing loop -thus not using volume control of the int.) and two speakers.
My question is....Does the cable box remote fully control the volume?
does the cable signal (audio/video) come in from the street to the box, then audio connections from the cable box to the integrated, video connections from the cable box to TV.
It seems the cable box would be functioning as a preamp in this context.
I am a little confused about whether this will work.
Thanks for any guidance.
