Re: Plasma With No Analog Audio Outputs!!!

Which model are you buying ? Is it a pro 'monitor only' set? If so, you will need a tuner anyway and then you simply use the audio out on the tuner straight to your amp. Of course you will need to make sure the model tuner you buy has a choice of variable or fixed out. Check the manuals at manufacturers web sites for info like this unless you have access to the remotes and can check the set up menus yourself. Most salespeople guess, don't know, or don't want to take the time to find out this type of info. Panasonic plasmas with tuners do have an analog audio out (both NTSC only and NTSC/QAM/ATSC models). It says "To Audio Amp" near the bottom left corner of the AV jacks. This is not listed on the specification page, but if you download the manual, you will see it. If you are using a cable or satelite box, use the the audio out from there. Most decent cable and sat boxes now have both fixed and variable audio out. Hope this helps.
