Looks like a good set up. The Denon receiver has an amazing number of features for a HT receiver at that price level. I like the fact that it has pre out for all channels, allowing you to upgrade the amplifiers in the future if you decide to get better speakers and an eight layer remote with a decent layout. Don't worry about the specs, they will cause more uncertainty than necessary for the non-hobbiest, and are certainly within the range of good compatibility. The polk speakers are typical of mini HT speakers and are of decent quality for HT listening, however, this is where you would upgrade first if you find yourself wanting better sound in time. Get better main fronts, at least 6" 2-ways for a fuller, more dynamic and relaxed sound quality, ( move the old sat fronts to the surround backs ), then a better center, then a bigger-better-deeper-tighter-mopower sub, then then some dipolar surrounds for the sides and bipolar surround backs. By the time you make all these upgrades you'll be making more money and can sell the speakers to someone who'll start over with the same process in mind. Then you'll get the better amp, a wife, kids, pets .....and then your poor again, but at least you'll have a good system!!
