Viewing Distance and Screen Size

Is there an easy to use chart on the web that would allow me to input the available distance I have for mounting a projector on our ceiling and what size 16:9 screen I could project.
We have a 50" rear projector today and I want to replace it with an lower end, (cost, WAF issues, etc), LCD or DLP projector. I understand I will need to lower lighting, but I also want to get my 50" out from inbetween my Maggies!!!
I have some selling to do, (WAF), and want to be sure I am accurate on screen size.
