Just out of curiosity, if one had big high-end speakers for a home theater and lots of space, how many seats could large home systems acceptably cover? For example, if one had the biggest JBL synthesis system which covers approx. 75,000 cubic feet, how many seats could you cover with that system? 30, 50, 100 people? Specifically how many people could be sitting in the sweet spot assuming one had large fullrange home speakers in all 5 or 6 channels? I had this silly idea of what if someone built a private cinema with home speakers instead of commerical ones, with the idea of actually having soundstaging, imaging, etc for the greatest number of people. Could something like that actually work? Thanks for relaying your thoughts and opinions!
