I wanted to purchase a Marantz DV8400 used, and phoned the local dealer/importer of Marantz. THey told me the 7500 was in fact the replacement of the 8400 - and it cost 30% less than the DV8400 when new. He said the 7500 is the better machine. Does this sound right? Judging by model numbers, it seems to be lower ... AND it's alot cheaper. Does anyone know if he is right?
