Hi there! I have two Toshiba tv's... had a blackout in my area... and when the power came back one doesnt work at all. It just ticks and there is not even a power indicator light to indicate its on. The other still plays but the picture is all jittery and shrank. There is about 3" of black border around the picture. Both tv's are just over a year old and Toshiba said they are not covered under warranty. Everything else in my house is fine.... including my 15 year old Phillips tv in the kitchen. Seems this blackout only broke the Toshiba's.
I have found a local place to make a house call next week but does anyone have an idea what actually happened? How to avoid in the future and maybe even know if there is a fix for this without having a repairman stop over?
Peace,
Godzilla
