I can't wait to see what harebrained reason the broadcasters come up with to explain how these things will promote piracy. Some lame rebroadcasting rule, or something. Most likely it'll be a major league sport that will start the ball rolling, with the possibility of watching a blackout-ed game from another city.$250 seems a bit on the steep side, most of the intelligence is probably controlling all your VCR/DVD/PVR gear. You could gin up something similar with a $90 PVR card on your PC, and some cheap, or free, software.
