i looked at this in a high-end a/v shop over the weekend. it did a nice job on dvd movie (star wars II). with hdtv signal, it would have been signif better, i think. the movie had nice skin tones, resolution, motion.. and it looked good with lights on in the room, or off, and good in low brightness on the bulb. it was showing on an 84" screen, somewhat of a gray screen, but i don't know the spec on the screen. blacks were pretty black tho.
