HDMI or Component Video - Which is Better?

I just got a Toshiba 56HM195 DLP 1080P TV. Very nice! I connected my DVD player with component (3 wire) connections. The TV also has 2 HDMI inputs. Would I see a better picture if I use the HDMI connection instead of component video?
