Are the lack of decent processors in the $1000 to $1500 range. There are tons of receivers from a few hundred to thousands, which have everything required for a surround setup. But somehow almost all processors are well over $1500. It just seems to me that there should be a huge market for pre/pros in this price range. Take out the amplifier section, take out the tuner and upgrade the important sections in the unit. Presto.
