Whew!, and I was going bonkers thinking I had probably completely forgotten how to properly record using a VCR ! It has been years since I recorded anything on that VCR---the last thing I recorded was one of the last episodes of the X-Files back in 2001 ! ---But I was disappointed that I couldn't share the hysterical and filthy comical antics of comic Lisa Lampanelli from Comedy Central with my relatives at their house...Oh well...I did manage to go back into the VCR menu settings and was able to shut off the Super VHS ET recording circuitry(which allows for that option)---so that it will record in VHS regular/standard mode in case I decide to play a tape on another VCR (non-S-VHS compatible)--------I hope that does the trick ! Were you ever given that option on yours and if so, did that work?? Just curious.
Thanks so much for your info, and time MediaSeth ! ...
