Denon players / DVD-900 vs. new DVD-556

None of the new entry level Denon players come with the Faroudja DCI-chipset. It does make a difference on a quality TV I am told. Should i go for a used DVD-900 or the new entry level DVD-556 ? Which would yield a better overall picture
