I have built a quiet PC for HT applcations. I want to use it primariliy as an audio transport but also for playback of HDef movies recorded by friend from sattelite receiver.
My TV is a HD crt with DVI input. I have tried playing HD samples through the main video output of the on-board video card (nVidia 6150, 256MB) but I was't impressed. I am wondering if getting a better video card would change anything.
I see that a new GeForce 7600 GS has a passive heatsink which would also help to keep things cool. Should I excpect any improvment worth investment?
