I'm having a problem with occasional blackouts when using an HDMI
connection from my Marantz DV-9500 dvd player to my Panasonic
TH-42PX50U. Along with the blackout, which lasts maybe 3 or 4 seconds,
the audio coming through the HDMI cable into the TV disappears as well
(but not the audio signal to the preamp). The cable is a Belkin "Pure
AV", 16' long. No problems when using a component connection. I'm
trying to decide if the problem is the length of the cable. I
exchanged it for another identical one, and experienced the same
problem. I also wonder if an HDMI extender would be likely to solve
the problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.
