Audio quality of Oppo DVD player

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the audio quality of Oppo DVD player in playing movies. How does it compare to products like Arcam(again movie sound only)? I know it can walk on water on the video side, but can it stand on its own via processor and seperate power amps ?
