I have three video signals (LD, DVD and VCR) going through a Yamaha RX-V1 receiver. All video screens on my Panasonic TV turned to a green squiggle (like when an old Nintendo game didn't quite work).I had both component and S-Video connections from the amp to the TV, and when I disconnected the component connection the picture came back.
So, my question is, if you have the component connection made, does the video signal travel out through them, even if they aren't from a digital source?
If not, could it be a faulty switch in the receiver?
Since my component cables were cheapo Rat-shack ones, I'm thinking they probably just failed, but I don't understand why they would interfere with VCR playback.
