For my HT room I am thinking to put 2 speakers above and below the screen (120") as my screen wont allow the speaker to be placed behind it and hence, I am thinking that one speaker at the bottom of the screen may not be optimal. My questions:
1) Can I take the output of the center channel from the pree amp and divide it to two with a Y splitter, feed them to two channels of an amp and then connect the two speakers ?
2) Will it lower down the sound output level from the center channel speakers as the signal is divided? I dont have volume controls on my amps
3) will it hurt the pre amp as the output will demand more current ?
4) Most importantly, will I achieve my goal of getting a more realistic center channel effect than a single speaker?
Thanks
Dholai
